The work for which bids are asked includes the following: APPROXIMATELY: Removing Roadway Pavement - 4995 SY, Removing Curb and Gutter - 3405 LF, 1-1/4-Inch Base Aggregate Dense - 2760 TON, HMA Pavement - 1115 TON, Concrete Curb & Gutter 30-Inch Type L - 3405 LF, Concrete Sidewalk 4-Inch - 4371 SF, Concrete Sidewalk 6-Inch, 1935 SF, Concrete Driveway 6-Inch - 920 SY, 8-Inch PVC Diameter Water Main - 1840 LF, 1-Inch HDPE Diameter Water Service - 665 LF, 12-Inch RCP Storm Sewer Pipe - 140 LF, and miscellaneous items associated with above work. BID SECURITY: A certified check or satisfactory Bid Bond payable to the City of Beloit in the amount of 5% of the Bid shall accompany each bid as a guarantee, that if the bid is accepted, the bidder will execute and file the Agreement, the Contract Performance Bond and Payment Bond, as required by the Contract Documents, within ten (10) days after the Notice of Award of the Contract by the City of Beloit. Failure of the part of the Bidder to do so will result in forfeiture of the Bidder's certified check or Bid Bond to the City of Beloit as liquidated damages.
