This is a Pre-Solicitation announcement to inform potential offerors of the Department of Veterans Affairs intent to advertise an Invitation For Bids (IFB) for Project 506-20-102 Upgrade Basement Building 1W at the LTC Charles S. Kettles Veterans Administration Medical Center (VAMC) located in Ann Arbor, MI. An Invitation for Bid (IFB) is planned to be issued on or about March 20, 2023. A brief description of work to be performed is the interior renovation to include approximately 14,000 square feet of existing basement, sub-basement, electrical shop, and recreation therapy office space. The basement spaces will be renovated to be more efficient. An updated layout will improve flow and function. The mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems will be upgraded. The project includes asbestos abatement. The North American Industry Classification Code (NAICS) for this procurement is 236220 - Commercial and Institutional Building Construction with a small business size standard of $45 million. Magnitude of cost for this project is between $1,000,000.00 and $5,000,000.00. The Government intends to award a Firm Fixed Price Contract within 120 days from bid opening date. This acquisition is a Total set-aside for qualified Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSB).
