Summary Dane County is inviting Bids for construction services to repave a parking lot. 2. Background Phase I of the parking lot reconstruction was completed in 2021. The Work associated with this RFB will conclude this project by replacing storm water utilities in disrepair and repaving the parking lot. Question Submission Deadline:April 21, 2023, 6:00pm Emerging Small Business Involvement. Bidder shall make good faith effort to award minimum of ten percent (10%) of the Work to ESBs. Good faith effort means significant contact with ESBs for purposes of soliciting bids from them. Failure to make or demonstrate good faith efforts will be grounds for disqualification. We understand that the existing asphalt access drive and parking areas at the Dane County Human Services campus located at 1202 Northport Drive in Madison, Wisconsin are planned to be rehabilitated to the extent feasible within the project budget, which is anticipated to consist of a combination of milling/overlaying and/or complete reconstruction (dependent upon the existing conditions encountered). The proposed rehabilitation area consists of the entrance drive off of Northport Drive extending north/northeast up the hill past the main building and ending at the existing maintenance building. Finished site grades are anticipated to remain at or near existing grades. Additionally, existing curb and gutter, where present, will remain in-place, with only isolated portions planned to be replaced.
