The purpose of this Contract is to perform repair or replacement of a variety of maintenance hole systems throughout the County. The work may include but is not limited to: repair or replacement of large diameter maintenance holes in excess of 48" within 24 hour notice; exploratory excavation; restoration and repair of disturbed mechanical and electrical assemblies, concrete or asphalt areas associated with the repair; back filling and grading as necessary to restore disturbed area to grade; restoration of landscaping. Melissa Jordan, mejordan@kingcounty.gov, 206-263-4005 Not-to-Exceed Contract Price: $650,000.00 Work site: Various King County facilities located throughout Washington, primarily for the
Wastewater Treatment Division.
The work performed under this Contract shall not exceed $1,000,000 and the initial Contract Time
shall not exceed 365 calendar days from the date of Contract Execution by the County. The
County does not guarantee any minimum amount of work or that the dollar amount of the Work
Orders issued will total $1,000,000 during the duration of this Contract. At the County's sole
discretion, this Contract may be extended for one additional year or until the Not to Exceed
Contract Price is reached, whichever occurs first.
The County shall review all Work Orders issued under this Contract with an estimated value equal
to or greater than $150,000 to establish a specific required or aspirational level of participation by
Certified Firms, Apprentices and or Priority Workers Pre-Bid Conference: A pre-bid conference is not scheduled. A site tour is not scheduled.
Subcontracting Opportunities: none Bid Guaranty: Not less than five percent (5%) of the Total Bid Price. Bids received after Bid Close Date/Time will not be considered. Bidders accept all risks of
late delivery, regardless of fault. King County is not responsible for any costs incurred in response
to this Invitation to Bid.
