Demolition and site work for a playground / park / athletic field in San Francisco, California. Completed plans call for site work for a playground / park / athletic field.
The Project is described as: The improvement of the irrigation system at the National AIDS Memorial Grove at Golden Gate Park. Hand digging, trenching, installing piping, valves, irrigation components and restoring planting areas. Scope of work will only include installing new mainlines, valve and controller wiring installation (on new and existing valves), valve manifold installation (on new and existing mainline), conduit, electrical and power connection, and demo existing lines. TRADES REQUESTED: DEMO | EARTHWORK | LANDSCAPING | PLUMBING | ELECTRICAL Sheet I-1 o Unless noted differently, all piping, valves, quick couplers, sprinklers shown in light color are existing to remain in service. use caution when trenching. (typical) o All lateral lines, utilities, and sprinkler head locations must be marked and approved by city representative before construction. Install all main lines and electrical conduit under tree canopy carefully to avoid damage to trees and to tree roots. Re-routing of main lines may be required.Roots under 2" shall be cut cleanly, with clean sharp tools, but only if necessary for laying pipe. Minimum depth of main line pipe to be 18" (typical). o Pot hole and locate existing main line that services quick couplers along creek bed. Cap in this approximate location (3). Remove existing quick coupling valves that are no longer operational. (est.6 QCVs) o Route new two wire cable to existing valves thru existing conduit. o Sweep conduit and two wire cable into gate valve box. Install waterproof splices on end of wire o Locate existing gate valve that services fountain. Remove and connect new 2" galvanized pipe to from new main line. o Pot hole and locate existing main line that services existing quick coupling at location (7). Install new gate valve in existing line. Use hymax or equal repair coupling on each side of valve when connecting. o Pot hole and locate existing main line that services quick couplers along trail. Cap in this approximate location. Remove existing quick coupling valves that are no longer operational. (est. 12 QCVs) o Install new main and conduit in the middle of existing dirt pathways where possible. Sheet I-2 o Irrigation controller "ag". Mount in specified security enclosure at this location as detailed and as directed by architect. Connect to existing 120 volt A.C. electrical service installed at this location under site electrical contract. Irrigation contractor shall coordinate location or electrical service prior to construction. o Unless noted differently, all piping, valves, quick couplers, sprinklers shown in light color are existing to remain in service. Use caution when trenching. (typical) o Pot hole and locate existing 4" D.I. main line along parkway strip. Install new 4" Tee with flanged gate valve as detailed. o Pot hole and locate existing 4" main line. Install double strapped S.S. saddle (sized for ductile iron pipe) onto existing pipe to service angle valve and remote control valve(s). o Install new remote control valve onto existing service line to existing valve. Re-pipe as required. o Install new main and conduit in the middle of existing dirt pathways where possible. Sheet I-3 o Route new two wire cable to existing valve thru existing conduit. Install new decoder at valve. Use existing wires to pull wire. o Sweep conduit and two wire cable into gate valve box. Install waterproof splices on end of wire. o 1.5" sch 40 PVC conduit with required sweeps, pull rope and pull boxes for two wire cable. Route with main line as detailed. (typical) Waterproof ends of conduit with foam. o Route 1.25" conduit and 2-wire cable from new controller into each cluster of remote control valves. Connect wires to valves. Waterproof ends of conduit. Use sweeps as required. (typical at all valves) o Single station decoder. Install within valve box as detailed. (typical at all valves) Sheet I-4 o Route new two wire cable to existing valve thru existing conduit. Install new decoder at valve. Use existing wires to pull wire. o 1.5" sch 40 PVC conduit with required sweeps, pull rope and pull boxes for two wire cable. Route with main line as detailed (typical) waterproof ends of conduit with foam. o Route 1.25" conduit and 2-wire cable from new controller into each cluster of remote control valves. Connect valves to wires. Waterproof ends of conduit with foam. Use sweeps as required. (typical at all valves) o Route 1.25" conduit and 2-wire cable through existing planting areas. Use caution with existing pipes when trenching. Waterproof ends of conduit with foam. o Route 1.25" conduit and 2-wire cable through existing turf area. Sod cut existing turf prior to trenching then replace once conduit is installed and backfill has been compacted. Use caution with existing pipes when trenching. Waterproof ends of conduit with foam. o Irrigation controller "ag". Mount in specified security enclosure at this location as detailed and as directed by architect. Connect to existing 120 volt A.C. electrical service installed at this location under site electrical contract. Irrigation contractor shall coordinate location or electrical service prior to construction. Waterproof ends of conduit with foam. o Single station decoder. Install within valve box as detailed. (typical at all valves) o Install conduit along edge of asphalt path. Bore underneath pathway if needed. All questions regarding this project are due no later than Wednesday, April 5, 2023 by 5pm.
