Renovation of an educational facility in Albany, New York. Completed plans call for the renovation of a 70,000-square-foot, one-story above grade educational facility.

The deadline to submit questions is April 17, 2023. The current estimated construction value is approximately $27,000,000. The Project is for the full renovation of the Former Albany High School to house electrical engineering and computer science programs for the College of Engineering and Applied Sciences. The 129,000 GSF building was constructed in 1912, was acquired by the Campus in 2013 and is currently vacant. The windows have exceeded their useful lives and the exterior site finishes, granite stairs and building masonry surfaces are mostly original to the building and require significant repairs. Various building systems and interior finishes are outdated and need to be replaced. The Auditorium will be renovated to replace aging finishes and technologies. To achieve the substantial completion date contemplated, one bid package is currently being considered. This sixth and final phase of the Project will renovate approximately 70,000 S.F. to the Former Albany High School Building located at 135 Western Ave, Albany, NY 12203. The planned renovation will include 4 floors of the North wing, auditorium, historic center stair, site work and connection of the storm water system to the City's new line along Western Ave. Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Set Aside: No Minority Owned Sub-Contracting Goal: 15% Women Owned Sub-Contracting Goal: 15% Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Business Contracting Goal: 6% To achieve the substantial completion date contemplated, one bid package is currently being considered. This sixth and final phase of the Project will renovate approximately 70,000 S.F. of the Former Albany High School Building located at 135 Western Ave, Albany, NY 12203. The planned renovation will include 4 floors of the North wing, auditorium, historic center stair, site work and connection of the storm water system to the City's new line along Western Ave. Submissions should emphasize the firm's significant experience in providing construction phase CM services for public institutions and institutional clients in a complete and expeditious manner. Design/Pre-Con Phase services will include but are not limited to: MWBE Services including an MWBE and EEO Monitor (additional details below), meetings, document review, scheduling, bidding phase services, and defining temporary facilities/logistics. CMs should provide personnel that the Manager Contract term: 05/27/2025
