The University of California San Diego requests a written response to this Request for Qualifications for selecting an Executive Engineer for the UC San Diego Medical Center - Hillcrest Redevelopment Phase 2 Demolition project. The project includes demolition of the facilities at the Hillcrest medical campus that are within the footprint of the future P3 housing development that is part of Phase 2A of the Hillcrest Redevelopment. This demolition project has an estimated construction cost of $4,300,000. The project will be subject to the campus/university academic and administrative approval process The University is committed to promoting and increasing participation of small business enterprises (SBEs) and disabled veteran business enterprises (DVBEs), subject to any and all applicable obligations under state and federal law, and University policies. The selected consultant shall make best efforts to provide qualified SBEs and DVBEs with the maximum opportunity to participate. Every effort will be made to ensure that all persons have equal access to contracts and other business opportunities with the University within the limits imposed by law or University policy. Each candidate firm may be required to show evidence of its equal employment opportunity policy. The work described in the contract is a public work subject to section 1771 of the California Labor Code. *The value for this project is based on a financial range.
