Each bid shall be accompanied by a bid bond, executed by the Bidder and a duly authorized surety company, certified check, or cashier's check made unconditionally payable to the Springfield Public Schools R-12 for an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the maximum bid or bids submitted. The bid security pledges that the Bidder will enter into a Contract with the Owner on the terms stated in the Bid and will, if required, furnish bonds covering the faithful performance of the Contract and payment of all obligations arising thereunder.
