Site work for a civil project in Carpentersville, Illinois. Completed plans call for site work for a bridge / tunnel; and water / sewer project.
The proposed improvements will consist of, culvert replacements at Golfview Lane that includes the removal and installation of approximately 60 of 48 W x 36 H concrete box culvert and associated drainage structures and culvert replacements at Williams Road of approximately 43 of 24 concrete pipe restoration, and all other ancillary work required to complete the project in accordance with the plans, specifications and all other applicable standards. A Bid Bond executed by the Bidder and an acceptable surety in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the total proposal shall be submitted with each proposal as provided in Article 102.09 of the Standard Specifications for Road and Bridge Construction, prepared by the Illinois Department of Transportation. Attention is called to the fact that not less than the minimum salaries and wages as set forth in the Contract documents must be paid on this project, and that the Contractor must ensure that employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of their race, color, religion, sex or national origin. The awarding authority reserves the right to waive technicalities and to reject any or all proposals as provided in Article 102.08 of the Standard Specifications for Road and Bridge Construction, prepared by the Illinois Department of Transportation.
