CCSD #1 Asphalt Improvements Asphalt improvements for Paintbrush, Meadowlark and 4-J Elementary Schools along with the Maintenance Department. The Paintbrush Elementary School improvement involves the removal of 2,559 SY of AC pavement and 410 SF of concrete valley gutter. 2,895 SF of concrete valley gutter will be replaced and extended to improve the drainage. 2,277 SY of 3" AC pavement will replace the removed AC pavement playground. 382 SY of the edges of the remaining AC pavement playground will be milled and 5,232 SY 2" AC pavement overlay installed. The Meadowlark Elementary School improvements has 2,795 SY of AC pavement playground and 43 SY of Portland cement pavement removed. 675 SF of concrete valley gutter will also be removed as a part of this project. Approximately 1,000 SF of concrete valley gutter will replace and improve the drainage. 2,820 SY of 3" AC pavement will be installed on the improved playground grading. 4J Elementary School entails improvements to both the parking and playground areas. 857 SY AC pavement playground and 2,860 SY portland cement pavement are to be removed as part of this project. Some sidewalk and concrete curb and gutter are also going to be removed and replaced during these improvements. 857 SY of 3" AC pavement will replace the playground and 2,860 SY of 5" AC pavement will replace the parking area. Alternate 1 is located at the CCSD Maintenance Building. These improvements will involve the removal of curb at the street on the north side of the building (195 LF). 1,455 SY of AC pavement and 42 SY portland cement pavement would be removed between the street and the building.
