Contract duration: 3 years CONTEXT OF IMPLEMENTATION OF THE MANDATE Introduction Polytechnique Montreal Founded in 1873, Polytechnique Montréal, an engineering university, is one of the most important engineering teaching and research establishments in Canada and remains the first in Quebec in terms of the scope of its research activity. Polytechnique Montréal provides education in several engineering specialties and conducts nearly a quarter of university research in these fields in Québec. Polytechnique Montréal is a world-class science and technology hub. It has more than 200 agreements with establishments around the world and more than a quarter of its students come from abroad. The first Canadian university buildings to receive LEED GOLD international environmental certification, the Lassonde pavilions at Polytechnique Montréal have become a reference in terms of sustainable construction. The research A budget of $105 million; 57 research chairs; 1 Canada Excellence Research Chair; 105 technologies in development; 27 active spin-off companies; More than 200 agreements around the world. Unit responsible for the mandate The IT Department (IS) is the administrative unit responsible for this mandate. Its mandate is to assume the leadership of the development of information systems, computer services and the computer, audiovisual and telecommunications infrastructure necessary for the achievement of the School's mission, to plan, manage and coordinate the implementation in consultation with the various stakeholders and meet the needs of the community with regard to their use. To fully carry out its mission, the IT Department must: Plan, install and manage the telecommunications infrastructure (networking and telephony), computer and audiovisual equipment as well as the institutional computer services necessary for teaching, research and management. Provide appropriate technical support to departments and services as well as to students, professors, researchers and staff members. Develop and disseminate IT regulations, policies, standards and guidelines and ensure their application. Ensure a technological watch, advise and guide the School on the IT, audiovisual and telecommunications infrastructure necessary for its mission. Integrate, adapt and develop various products, tools, applications or information systems as needed to meet the needs of teaching, research and management. Promote the sharing and integration of expertise and the development of computer knowledge and skills of the various personnel of the School. Objective of the call for tenders Polytechnique Montréal wishes to establish a standing contract with a SERVICE PROVIDER, concerning the supply, installation , testing and maintenance of structured telecommunications cabling to meet the specific needs of all of these establishments. The work is divided between major work related to construction projects and day-to-day requests for additions and modifications. The work requested may be day, evening or weekend depending on the accessibility of the areas concerned. *Award subject to final approval
