South Orange County Community College District acting by and through its Governing Board, will receive up to, but not later than, the above-stated time, electronically submitted Bid Proposals for the award of the contract for the above Project. Bids for the Project shall be pursuant to the formal bid procedures under the California Uniform Public Construction Cost Accounting Act (CUPCCAA) as set forth in Public Contract Code 22037. 1. Project Preliminary Cost Estimate. The Preliminary Cost Estimate to complete Project construction is $85,000. The Preliminary Cost Estimate is provided for reference purposes only. Bidders must independently evaluate Project requirements and propose a price for completing Project construction and other obligations under the Contract Documents based on each Bidder's independent evaluation. PreBid questions or clarification requests musts be submitted no later than 4/5/2023 at 5:00 PM. The District will not respond to any Bidder inquiries or clarification requests submitted after such date/time. District responses to Bidder inquiries or clarification requests will be not be directly distributed to Bidders; District responses will be communicated to Bidders by posting on the PlanetBids portal. Bidders are solely responsible for accessing the PlanetBids portal to review District responses to Bidder inquiries or clarification requests. Bid Proposals must be submitted with Bid Security in an amount equal to ten percent (10%) of the Bidder's proposed price to complete Project construction and obligations under the Contract Documents. Bid Security shall be in the form of cash, cashiers/certified check payable to the District, or Bid Bond in the form and content included with the Contract Documents. Submittal of Bid Security shall be in accordance with the Information for Bidders.
