Description The Wayne County Airport Authority (WCAA) plans to issue a Request for Bids (RFB) in early May 2023. The purpose of the RFB is to solicit bids for the McNamara Terminal - Jet Bridge Replacement - Phase 2 project at Detroit Metropolitan Wayne County Airport (Project). The Project includes the replacement of up to 35 existing passenger boarding jet bridges with new jet bridges, subject to funding available. This work will be phased to mitigate inconvenience to passengers and to coordinate with other terminal, gate and apron projects at the McNamara Terminal. The resulting construction services contract from this RFB is anticipated to be partially funded with a Federal Aviation Administration grant through the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law and is subject to the requirements of that grant. The Contract resulting from this solicitation is subject to Davis-Bacon Act Wages Requirements and Buy American requirements. The new replacement jet bridges will be 'in-kind' to the existing bridge equipment, with similar foundation/weight configuration and requirements. Installation of new preconditioned air (PCA) and ground power units (GPU) will be completed under a separate contract. The McNamara Terminal will remain open throughout the duration of the project and the successful Bidder will be required to coordinate this project with several other concurrent terminal and airfield apron projects.
