Renovation of a municipal facility in Lincoln, Nebraska. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.

Lincoln Electric System is requesting bids for an HVAC installer to remove and install 3 heat pump systems per LES specifications included in this bid solicitation. Successful bidder will be required to complete (1) the LES Standard Contract; 2) furnish proof of insurance with coverage specified in the Contract by an insurance company licensed to do business in Nebraska and rated at least B+ in A.M. Bests Rating. Certificate must show LES listed as additional insured for general liability and include waiver of subrogation; and 3) Return a completed copy of the Equal Employment Opportunity Compliance Request Form. All questions must be submitted through this bid portal under the clarifications tab. JOB SITE, Lincoln, Nebraska NE 68521 US Clarification Deadline: 4/24/2023 4:00 PM Existing facility equipment has begun to fail and has reached the end of its useful life. Equipment will be required to be removed from facility, including auxiliary pieces of equipment. The entire system should be replaced all as new. Lincoln Electric System (LES) is seeking an HVAC installer to remove and install 3 heat pump systems. Heat pumps will be installed at the following locations. 1. Substation 30, 2nd & N, 215 S 2nd St. South Building 40.812004, -96.718920 2. Substation 29, 27th & Pine Lake, 7430 S 27th St. North Building 40.734751, -96.681394 3. Substation 58, 40th & Gertie, 4801 S 40th St. North Building 40.764921, -96.663686 LES is soliciting bids from qualified professionals with proven expertise and experience installing air source heat pumps using best practices. All work must be completed by September 30, 2023. The installer will work with LES staff, primarily the Technician for site access and all questions regarding the system. Selected contractor will install split system heat pumps at all 3 substations. 1. Contractor shall furnish all labor, material, services, tools, equipment, and fixtures necessary to perform and complete in a good and workmanlike manner the Work described in the Agreement. All Work shall be done in accordance with all laws, ordinances, building codes, rules and regulations applying to the Work, including, but not limited to, the Americans with Disabilities Act, environmental regulations and the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970, as amended. Contractor shall have control over, and be solely responsible for, all means, methods, and sequences for performing the Work. 2. Contractor will be responsible for all electrical, sheet metal, plumbing and control wiring associated with the installation of the heat pumps. If installation of the units requires the relocation of unassociated electrical wiring, conduit, or other Items, LES will be responsible for those costs. The Contractor may be requested to provide a quotation to complete this work as it arises, or LES may choose to have another contractor perform the work. 3. Contractor shall be responsible for the proper disposal of the old unit, duct work and all required building permits and inspections. Contractor is required to follow standard rules and regulations with any reclaimed refrigerant. Contractor also assumes responsibility of all materials being disposed of and relieves LES of any liabilities 4. Current heat pump system removal including but not limited to indoor fan coil unit, outdoor heat pump condensing unit, & existing ductwork. 5. At location 1 provide and install QTY 1 Carrier 25SCA524A003 or Bryant 215SAN02400A Heat pump condensing unit and QTY 1 FX4DNF025L00 Fan coil unit with 10KW electric heat package. Install 1 Carrier edge thermostat provided by LES. Fan coil unit shall be installed standing on top of fabricated 18"W X 22"D X 24"T return air box with 20x20 filter grille installed on the side provided by installing contractor. See picture 1 for example of return air box. See picture 2 for indoor and outdoor unit location and orientation. Condenser will be installed on new plastic or concrete pad with 6-inch risers minimum. Install new electrical disconnect with integrated 120-volt GFCI protected outlet. Install new watertight conduit from new disconnect to condenser. Provide and install ductwork connecting new fan coil unit to existing building ductwork. 6. At location 2 provide and install QTY 1 Carrier 25SCA530A003 or Bryant 214DNA030P00 heat pump condensing units and QTY 1 FX4DNF037L00 fan coil unit with 10 KW electric heat package. Install 1 Carrier Edge thermostat provided by LES. Fan coil unit shall be installed on top of fabricated 21"W X 22"D X 24"T return air box with 20x20 filter grill installed on the side provided by installing contractor. See picture 1 for example of return air box. See picture 3 for unit location and orientation. Condenser will be installed on new plastic or concrete pad with 6-inch risers minimum. Install new electrical disconnect with integrated 120-volt GFCI protected outlet. Install new watertight conduit from new disconnect to condenser. Provide and install ductwork connecting new fan coil unit to existing building ductwork. 7. At location 3 provide and install QTY 1 Carrier 25SCA518A003 or Bryant 215SAN01800A Heat pump condensing unit and QTY 1 FX4DNF025L00 Fan coil unit with 10KW electric heat package. Install 1 Carrier edge thermostat provided by LES. Fan coil unit shall be installed standing on top of fabricated 18"W X 22"D X 24"T return air box with 20x20 filter grille installed on the side provided by installing contractor. See picture 1 for example of return air box. See picture 4 for indoor and outdoor unit location and orientation. Condenser will be installed on new plastic or concrete pad with 6-inch risers minimum. Install new electrical disconnect with integrated 120-volt GFCI protected outlet. Install new watertight conduit from new disconnect to condenser. Provide and install new ductwork of sufficient size to evenly heat and cool building. 8. Must have minimum 1-year parts and labor warranty on heat pump condenser and fan coil unit. Must have a 5-year warranty on condenser compressor. Please state your warranty period in your proposal.
