As of March 13, 2026, the project is in design. The previous design-build method has been cancelled and has switched to a design-bid-build method after bids came in too high. The project is expected to bid publicly to contractors, but a bidding timeline has not been disclosed. Currently, the Department anticipates a Contract amount of $350-$400 million.
