The Project includes the following Work: The Project provides for construction of street improvements approximately 550 feet in length. This includes widening of pavement, full depth asphaltic concrete construction, curb & gutters, sidewalk, storm sewer improvements, signing, street trees, and seeding and sodding. The alleyway that is oriented east-west on the block between Johnson Drive and 59 th Terrace and Nieman Road and Barton Street shall be milled and overlaid as shown in the Alleyway Project Map. This Project is partially funded with Community Development Block Grant Funding. The City will require Davis Bacon Wage Rates and Buy America as part of the project. The Project has a duration of 60 days to reach Substantial Completion and the Owner anticipates the Notice to Proceed will be issued on approximately June 5, 2023. Each Bidder shall provide with their Bid a bid bond, cashiers check, or certified check, in an amount not less than 5% of the total amount of the Bid. Bid security will be returned to the unsuccessful Bidders as indicated in the Instructions to Bidders. Clarifications or exceptions are not allowed on the Bid. Bids received after the time and date specified for receipt of Bids will not be considered. Owner reserves the right to reject any or all Bids. The Contract will be awarded by the Governing Body of the Owner at the complete and sole discretion of such Governing Body. Questionsreceived less than three days prior to the date for opening of Bids may not be answered.
