The project limits extend from Martin County Line to Okeechobee County Line. The proposed improvements include but are not limited to, MOT (standard, barrier, RPM, removable tape, crash cushion, speed and law enforcement officer), environmental protections (sediment, turbidity, inlet), monitor existing structures (inspection, settlement), earthwork (excavation, embankment), asphalt (base, milling, resurfacing, miscellaneous), concrete (removal, sidewalk, driveways), guardrail (standard, removal, end treatment, special guardrail post, transition), pavement markings (detectable, painted, rumble strips, raised, thermoplastic, permanent tape), pavers, signing (single-post, object marker), tree (protection, root and branch pruning, removals), sod, and mailboxes along State Road 15 (US 98/US 441/Conners Highway) from Palm Beach/Martin County Line to Martin/Okeechobee County Line, for 12.333 miles in Martin County. PRE-QUALIFIED: Contractor needs to be pre-qualified. PERFORMANCE BOND: A Contract / Performance bond is required for this project. For bids over $150,000.00, the standard proposal guaranty of 5% of the bid will be required, unless otherwise stipulated in the proposal advertisement. A Proposal Guaranty of not less than five percent (5%) of the total actual bid in the form of either a certified check, cashier's check, trust company treasurer's check, bank draft of any national or state bank, or a Surety Proposal Guaranty made payable to the Florida Department of Transportation must be received for each bid in excess of $150,000.00.
