The Georgia Department of Transportation (hereinafter, "Department" or "GDOT") is conducting this electronic Request for Quotes ("eRFQ") pursuant to the State Purchasing Act (Official Code of Georgia Annotated 50-5-50 et seq) to establish a contract with one or more qualified suppliers who will provide to the Department Roadway Brine and Salt Materials commodities as further described in this eRFQ. Roadway Brine and Salt Materials ("products" or "material") shall include but is not limited to Calcium Chloride as described in the specifications, which shall be used for ice control purposes throughout the state of Georgia. The ensuing contract shall be used for purchases throughout the agency on a district-by-district basis. All provisions of this specification and the ensuing contract, including insurance, shall be extended to all districts within the Georgia Department of Transportation, and work ordered by the districts shall be furnished according to their needs at the prices, these specifications, and terms of the contract.
