The Work to be done under the Contract shall consist of tamping and alignment correction of approximately 20 miles of the GWWD Railway mainline for the period from June 1, 2023, until May 31, 2024, with the option of four (4) mutually agreed upon one (1) year extensions. The major components of the Work are as follows: (a) Tamping of GWWD mainline railway; (b) Horizontal alignment correction of GWWD mainline railway; (c) Vertical alignment correction of GWWD mainline railway; and (d) Tamping of ballast to increase GWWD mainline railway elevation approximately 50 mm or as directed by the Contract Administrator or their Designate. The Work shall be done on an "as required" basis during the term of the Contract. Official bid documents must be obtained from www.merx.com and bid submissions must be done through the Merx platform.
