The County of Riverside Purchasing on behalf of the Transportation Land Management Agency is soliciting quotations for SC800 3/8 inch cold mix asphalt as detailed in this RFQ. This bid may be split or awarded, depending on what is most advantageous to the County. Question Deadline 04/13/2023 at 1:30 PM PT Must be received in writing by: Bidders must submit their questions online The period of performance anticipated for this RFQ shall be for 1 year(s) with the option of 4 additional years each year renewable in one-year increments, with the completion date of 06/30/2028, unless terminated earlier. This annual renewal shall be based on mutually acceptable services, cost adjustments, and County requirements and there is no obligation by the County of Riverside to purchase any specified amount of goods or services. Specifications: Liquid asphalt for SC800 cold mix shall conform, in all respects, to the requirements of Section 93 of the Standard Specifications for the State of California, D.O.T. Aggregate for SC800 cold mix shall conform, in all respects, to the requirements of Section 39-2.02 of the Standard Specifications for the State of California, D.O.T. The mix design for 3/8" is as follows. The percentage of oil in mix design should be 5.2% to 5.5% of dry weight of aggregate, as determined by the Engineer. The SC800 specifications for Kinematic Viscosity @ 140 degrees F. *AASHTO (test 201) to be 1,000 to 1,200 viscosity.
