Renovation of a water / sewer project in Bowman, South Carolina. Completed plans call for the renovation of a water / sewer project.

The Project consists of replacement of manual bar screen with automated system, replacement of existing curtains, replacement of all existing aerators with the addition of three more, and installation of new Submerged Fixed Film Media with new blowers, a new cascade post aeration system, and a new standby generator. Bids will be received for a single prime Contract. Bids shall be on a unit price basis, with alternate bid items as indicated in the Bid Form. Bid security in the amount of 5% of the Bid Price shall be furnished in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. Bidding Documents also may be examined at the office of the Town of Bowman: 131 Poplar Street, Bowman, SC 29018 on Mondays through Fridays between the hours of 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. and Fridays between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m.Prospective Bidders may examine the Bidding Documents at the Issuing Office on Mondays through Fridays between the hours of 8 a.m. and 5 p.m., and may obtain copies of the Bidding Documents from the Issuing Office. Checks for Bidding Documents shall be payable to Hybrid Engineering, Inc. Upon request and receipt of the document deposit indicated above, the Issuing Office will transmit the Bidding Documents via delivery service. The date that the Bidding Documents are transmitted by the Issuing Office will be considered the Bidders date of receipt of the Bidding Documents. Partial sets of Bidding Documents will not be available from the Issuing Office. Neither Owner nor Engineer will be responsible for full or partial sets of Bidding Documents, including Addenda if any, obtained from sources other than the Issuing Office. No bid will be considered unless the bidder is legally qualified under the provisions of the South Carolina Contractor's Licensing Law (South Carolina Code of Laws as amended on April 1, 1999, Chapter 11, Sections 40-11-10 through 40-11-428). All Bidders will be required to comply with Presidents Executive Order No. 11246 & Order No. 11375 that prohibits discrimination in employment regarding race, creed, color, sex, or national origin. Bidders must comply with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, the Anti-Kickback Act, the Contract Work Hours Standard Act & the Davis Bacon Act.
