A contract will be awarded, or all bids rejected within 60 days after the bid opening. Bids received after the fixed time for opening cannot be considered. The City of Chehalis will set their clock based on www.time.gov. All bid proposals shall be accompanied by a bid proposal deposit in cash, certified check, cashier's check, or surety bond in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the amount of such bid proposal. Should the successful bidder fail to enter into such contract and furnish satisfactory performance bond within the time stated in the specifications, the bid proposal deposit shall be forfeited to the City of Chehalis. City of Chehalis reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waiver informalities in the bidding. Electrical and Controls, Pavement - Marking, Sidewalks/Curbs/Gutters, Aggregate, Street/Road Asphalt Resurfacing and Milling, Concrete Walkway, Sawcutting/Sidewalk/Pavement, Street/Road Asphalt Milling, ADA Curb Ramps, Traffic Control, Traffic Control Signal Systems, Pavement Resurface and Rehabilitation, Pavement Removal, Excavation, Traffic Control Devices (Signals, Signing, etc.), Street/Road Materials, Landscaping - Seeding, Erosion Control - Temporary, Paving (Asphalt or Concrete), Traffic Control/Flagging, Roadway Pavement Markings, Pedestrian Improvements, Asphalt Overlay, Rehab. and/or Maint., Curbs, Signage, Paving (Highway, Road or Street) This Contract provides for the improvement of Main St with the grind and overlay of approximately 1,300 linear feet of existing 44-foot to 62-foot wide asphalt pavement from Interstate 5 (I5) northbound on/off ramp east to the Burlington Northern Santa Fe (BNSF) Railway crossing. The project also includes reinstallation of traffic signal detection, replacement of ADA ramps to current requirements, and striping. Existing curb, gutter and sidewalk outside the intersections, as well as street lights and the existing storm drain system, will remain.
