Renovation of a transportation facility in Lubbock, Texas. Completed plans call for the renovation of a transportation facility.
As of February 1, 2024, construction of this project has been completed, however, information regarding the awarded contractor and an exact timeline for construction have not been confirmed. Project consists of the the removal and replacement of the existing roof systems of both hangar buildings with a new trapezoidal standing seam panel system. Project also includes the removal and replacement of gutters, downspouts and trim materials. Hangar 302 has a 11,000 SF corrugated metal roof and will also require structural remediation of distressed existing steel members and the removal of roof wood members of the barrel vault roof portion. The lower-level east roof areas are not included in the scope of work. The Horton Hangar consists of a 35,000 SF metal roof with structural steel beams and the west lower-level roof was constructed with wood framing. Work will include selective demolition, metals, rough carpentry, thermal & moisture protection and finishes. This project consists of removal and replacement of the existing metal roof system, structural remediation of distressed existing steel members, and removal of roof wood members at barrel vault roof of Hangar 302 at the Lubbock Preston Smith International Airport (LBB). The lower-level east roof areas are not included in the Scope of Work
