You are invited to review and respond to this IFB 11A3643, titled Janitorial Services in Imperial County. In submitting your bid, you shall comply with the instructions found herein. In addition to those programs and preferences that are specified in this solicitation, Prospective Contractors are encouraged to consider programs and preferences that are available, such as those for the use of small businesses, disadvantaged businesses, disabled veteran businesses, and other businesses covered by State and Federal programs and preferences. As required by Executive Order S-02-06, the California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) is committed to meeting the State's twenty-five percent (25%) Small Business (SB) participation goal. Certified SBs, Micro Businesses (MB) and any Contractors willing to commit to subcontracting a minimum of 25 percent (25%) of their net price to certified SB or MB to submit proposals are encouraged to submit bids. See Section D, Special Programs, Item 1, in this IFB for requirements. The DVBE Participation Program applies, and a three percent (3%) goal is required for this IFB. Contractor agrees to provide janitorial services to the California Department of Transportation (Caltrans), as described herein: Contractor shall provide all labor (with minimum of two (2) employees), tools, user materials, cleaning supplies, travel, incidentals, and equipment necessary to perform janitorial services for Caltrans District 11 in Imperial County. 2. The services shall be performed at the following location. A. Caltrans El Centro Region Office and Maintenance Facility, 1102 Montenegro Way, EI Centro, CA 92243. These two (2) buildings, which consist of two single-story structures, are approximately 7,500 total square feet and include two (2) kitchenettes, four (4) bathrooms, one (1) conference room, 10 offices, two (2) crew rooms, and two (2) outdoor patio areas. B. Equipment Shop Facility, 1102 Montenegro Way, El Centro, CA 92243. This building consists of a single-story structure of approximately 2,950 total square feet and includes one (1) lead worker's office, one (1) supervisor/files office, one (1) crew room, one (1) locker area, one (1) parts office, one (1) parts warehouse, one (1) women's/men's restroom, and one (1) shower.
