The City of Houston (City) is currently seeking proposals from qualified firm(s) to perform construction rehabilitation or reconstruction services for eligible low-to-moderate owneroccupied single-family residences. The Housing and Community Development Department works to create opportunities for all Houstonians to have access to safe homes that they can afford in communities where they can thrive. The agreement for this project will be for a initial three (3) year period with two (2) one-year options to renew for a maximum of (5) five-year contract terms. The City anticipates sources of funds to include the following federal program Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Entitlement funds and Community Development Block Grant Disaster Recovery (CDBG-DR) funds. In addition, HCDD will carry out the requirements of the Home Repair Program on behalf of the City under the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) regulations as outlined in 24 CFR Part 570, the Fair Housing Act, 42 USC 3601 et seq. Additional funding and funding sources may be included later, depending on availability. The City intends to enter one or more contracts for construction rehabilitation or reconstruction services with qualified Proposers to assist the City with the aforementioned initiative.
