Request for Proposals for On-Call Pavement Maintenance and Repair Services located throughout San Bernardino County The San Bernardino County, Department of Public Works - Special Districts (Department), is seeking Proposals, on behalf of all Board Governed County Service Areas and Their Zones, Big Bear Valley Recreation and Parks District, and Bloomington Recreation and Parks District (collectively Districts), from interested and qualified Proposers to provide routine and emergency On-Call Pavement Maintenance and Repair Services for the Districts as managed and administered by the Department. Services typically include, but are not limited to: pavement maintenance, trench repairs, pavement patches and pothole repairs, crack sealing, pavement striping, concrete work, asphalt concrete berms, drainage systems and other related miscellaneous services. It is the intent that the Board of Supervisors will enter into on-call contracts. The number of awards will be determined by the quality of the proposals received. It is important to emphasize that because the resulting contracts are for on-call services, the resulting contracts will not guarantee a minimum amount of work, or any work at all. The Districts plan to utilize Contractor(s) or Vendor(s) to provide Public Works Maintenance Services for Districts roads and facilities for routine maintenance, public projects not exceeding $60,000, and emergency projects. Please note, however, as provided later herein, that an award of a contract does not guarantee any work or compensation under such contract. Also, the initial not-to-exceed amount may be adjusted to reflect the term remaining on this RFP. The Districts estimate a budget of $1,250,000 per contract term for each Contract awarded under this RFP. Contract Term Services to be provided under this Request for Proposals (RFP) are outlined under Section V, Scope of Work. The Contract period will be for a maximum of five (5) years from the effective date of the agreement. Attendance at the conference is mandatory. No Proposal will be accepted from any Proposer who fails to attend the Proposal Conference. Questions regarding the contents of this RFP must be submitted in writing on or before the Deadline for Submission of Questions and directed to the RFP Contact.
