Demolition, site work and paving for a playground / park / athletic field in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Completed plans call for the demolition of a playground / park / athletic field; for site work for a playground / park / athletic field; and for paving for a playground / park / athletic field.
Bids must be accompanied by a certified check upon a National or State bank, drawn and made payable without condition to the Pittsburgh Parks Conservancy in an amount not less than ten percent (10%) of the bid, or a bid bond of not less than 10%. Base Bid Work includes but is not limited to: Demolition of site features, erosion and sedimentation controls, tree protection fence and construction fence, traffic control, earthwork and fine grading, asphalt paving, concrete paving, site electrical and lighting, topsoil and seeding, tree planting. Demolition of existing asphalt pathways will be done by City of Pittsburgh Department of Public Works. Alternate Work includes the following: Alternate 1: Arch Street Median and Pedestrian Crossing, consisting of work within the roadway/right-of-way, curbs, sidewalks, traffic control, traffic markings and planting. Alternate 2: Segment C of Allegheny Commons, consisting of installation of erosion and sedimentation controls, tree protection fence and construction fence, traffic control, earthwork and fine grading, asphalt paving, concrete paving, site electrical and lighting, site furniture, topsoil, seeding and tree planting. Alternate 3: Metal Pipe Rail on the west side of Federal Street and section on the south side of North Avenue, consisting of fabrication, painting, installation of metal pipe rail and concrete border installation. Alternate 4: Metal Pipe Rail on the east and west sides of Arch Street, consisting of fabrication, painting, installation of metal pipe rail and concrete border installation. Alternate 5: Metal Pipe Rail on North Avenue and Arch Street - north and south of Washington Monument, consisting of fabrication, painting, installation of metal pipe rail and concrete border installation. The successful bidder will be required to submit a 100% performance bond, a 100% labor and materials payment bond and a 10% maintenance bond. Bidders must be properly licensed under the laws governing their respective trades and be able to obtain insurance and bonds required for the Work. Insurance in a form acceptable to Owner will be required of the successful Bidder. No questions will be received or responded to by phone. All questions must be submitted prior to Thursday April 20, 2023. No questions will be addressed after that date and time. All registered bidders will receive a copy of all submitted questions/answers on Friday April 20, 2023. A copy of the Bid Documents will be available for review at the office of LaQuatra Bonci Associates, 95 South Tenth Street, Pittsburgh, PA 15203 during regular business hours. Consideration will be given to bids received from qualified bidders that perform quality work for the lowest responsible price. The PPC reserves the right to accept or reject any or all Bids, or any part of a Bid, and to waive informalities, and to award the Bid in the best interest of the Pittsburgh Parks Conservancy. No Bid may be withdrawn for sixty (60) days following the scheduled closing time for the receipt of Bids.
