Renovation of an educational facility in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.

The Project is to remove the existing carpet flooring from the south corridor of the University Recreation and Wellness Center and for the purchase and installation of synthetic non-infilled turf and rubber surfaces that can handle weight impacts, sleds, and fitness training exercise. The Contractor must work with the University Authorized Representative and University of Minnesota Athletics staff on all aspects the Project. If any aspect of the Contract is subcontracted, including equipment or personnel, the Contractor must oversee all aspects of the subcontractor's work. The University reserves the right to schedule additional face-to-face meetings with the Contractor throughout the life of the Contract, if necessary. Location, date and time(s) to be determined. If the Contractor subcontracts any work to a third party, the University reserves the right to meet directly with the subcontractor. QA date - 19th April @ 12 pm General Requirements. It is the Contractor's responsibility to familiarize itself and its service personnel with the scope of work for this Project including the duties, requirements, and specifications of the Contract and to perform in an acceptable and timely manner. 2.1. Turnkey Project. The Contractor shall provide a complete "turnkey" Project Proposal for the removal of the existing flooring and the installation of the new flooring for the south corridor of the University Recreation and Wellness Center. The Project Proposal shall describe all phases of the Project from planning and design through installation. The omission of any essential detail from this scope of work, specifications, or requirements does not relieve the Contractor from furnishing a complete and functioning Project. This includes, but shall not be limited to: duties, custom fees, permits, brokerage fees, licenses and registrations, government taxes, overhead, profit, parking permits, proper disposal of materials, insurance payments, travel, installation, and on-site training. The University will not pay any additional charges beyond the price(s) listed in Attachment D: Price List, unless otherwise provided for by law or expressly allowed by the Contract. 2.2 Safety-Individuals. All individuals working within University buildings or on University property are required to adhere to all current safety rules and policies. This includes, but is not limited to, University policies, Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), State, or other local policies or regulations. The Contractor will be responsible for the safety of employees, the public, and property at the site. Injury to any person during the performance of this Contract shall be reported to the University Authorized Representative prior to leaving the premises. 2.3 Safety- Property. The Contractor shall take all necessary steps to ensure the protection of existing University Recreation and Wellness Center facility. Any damage to the facility shall be the responsibility of the Contractor to repair or replace, at no expense to the University. Damage to any property during the performance of this Contract shall be reported to the University Authorized Representative prior to leaving the premises. 2.4 Labor, Materials, Equipment and Supplies. The Contractor shall furnish all the labor, materials, equipment, and supplies necessary for the removal of the existing flooring and the installation of the new flooring for the south corridor of the University Recreation and Wellness Center per the specifications and the final design agreed to by the awarded Contractor and the University. Contractor shall be responsible for providing all equipment necessary to complete the Project including, but not limited to: cranes, lifts, or other heavy or light motorized equipment; temporary storage trailers, scaffolding, ladders, and on-site office space. 2.6 Removed Items, Clean-Up, Disposal of Materials. The Contractor shall keep the premises and surrounding area free from accumulation of waste materials or rubbish caused by operations under the Contract. This includes removing all trash and debris from the Work Site and properly disposing of it. Any costs for dumpsters or trash hauling services shall be the responsibility of the Contractor. Upon completion of the Project, the Contractor shall remove and legally dispose of waste materials, rubbish, the Contractor's tools, equipment, machinery, and surplus materials from and about the Project premises and surrounding area daily. The cost of cleanup performed by the University as a result of the Contractor's failure to provide the cleanup required by this Contract shall be deducted at the actual cost to the University from the Contract sum. When removal and disposal of non-hazardous debris is performed on a job site, receipt for disposal and manifest documentation must be included with the final invoice.
