Renovation of a medical facility in Lubbock, Texas. Working plans call for the renovation of a 127,260-square-foot, three-story above grade medical facility.
The owner has selected a Construction Manager. Awarded to Whiting Turner/Lee Lewis Joint venture. The Lubbock County Hospital District will receive Statement of Qualifications for Construction Manager-at-Risk Services for the following University Medical Center project: University Medical Cender New Cancer Center Main Campus. This Request For Qualifications (RFQ) provides information on the Project, the Minimum Scope of CMAR Services required, and information to aid in preparing responses to this RFQ. All inquiries regarding this Project and RFQ must be in writing and must be submitted to the Project Manager as listed below in sufficient time to allow UMC to respond. Questions directed to other UMC officials or other agencies except as outlined in Paragraph below will receive neither consideration nor an answer New Cancer Center approximately 123,000 square feet in three occupied levels on UMC's main campus. The project will be a B-occupancy facility that will include the following services: Radiation Oncology - (2) linear accelerators, (1) HDR room, (2) PET CTs Outpatient Clinics - Adult exam/treatment rooms and pediatric exam rooms Oncology Infusion - Open and private infusion stations, fast-track stations, apheresis/photopheresis rooms and pediatric infusion stations Separate chemotherapy and retail pharmacies Phlebotomy Lab Integrative Medicine treatment area Administration The Project will include an open lobby with atrium and small cafe, replacement parking, connection to the EC, small service drive, utility yard and infrastructure to support future growth at the south west side of the main campus.
