Description

Site work and paving for a road / highway in Sanford, Florida. Working plans call for site work for a road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.

**As of July 28, 2023 this project has been cancelled. As of this time it is unknown if and when project will rebid. The Work includes construction of a new 370-ft (+/-) turn lane on St. Johns Pkwy at the intersection of Upsala Rd, including roadway widening, milling & resurfacing, curb & gutter, concrete sidewalks, driveway reconstruction, detector loop replacement, addition of pedestrian signal heads, and associated earthwork. Celery / Mellonville Ave. intersection improvements consist of 2,500-ft (+/-) of roadway widening, milling, resurfacing & overbuild for the addition of center turn lanes at the intersection. New and/or replacement of curb & gutter, storm sewer facilities, sidewalks, driveways, signage & marking are required. The existing strain pole signal at Celery & Mellonville is to be removed and replaced with a complete mast arm signalization. Other improvements include 650-ft (+/-) of new multi-use path and the relocation of water main including 1,400-ft (+/-) 6 -12 PVC at the Celery & Mellonville intersection and on Celery Ave. east of the intersection. Relocation of fire hydrants and small diameter RPZ assemblies are also part of the project.
