The Project generally consists of constructing a total of 1,100 linear feet of parallel raw sewage force main. Approximately 835 linear feet of subaqueous crossing where force main is to be installed across the water body known as Lake Langhofer (former channel of the AR river system), from the south bank of Lake Langhofer located at Pine Bluff Sand and Gravel, 200 North Kansas Street, to the north bank of the lake known as Boyd Point in Pine Bluff, AR. Prospective Bidders shall obtain official copies of the Bidding Documents from the Issuing Office online during the hours indicated above, upon payment of $225.00 for each set. Transmitted with each set of Bidding Documents will be an electronic copy of the Bidding Documents provided in portable document file (PDF) format on a USB flash drive. Payment must be received prior to the shipment of the Contract Documents. NO REFUNDS of payment will be made. The date that the Bidding Documents are transmitted by the Issuing Office will be considered the Bidder's date of receipt of the Bidding Documents. Partial sets of Bidding Documents will not be available from the Issuing Office. Neither Owner nor Engineer will be responsible for full or partial sets of Bidding Documents, including Addenda if any, obtained from sources other than the Issuing Office. The Engineer and Owner will be present to answer questions from Prospective Bidders. Attendees shall first convene at the Kansas Street Pump Station located at the intersection of E. Pullen Avenue and N. Kansas Street where the meeting will be conducted. Access to the project site is on private property; as such, the Owner shall chaperone attendees to the project site concluding the meeting. Minimum personal protective equipment required are hard hats, safety vest, and safety toe work shoes or boots. Attendance from Prospective Bidders is encouraged. The Owner reserves the right to waive any informalities in the bidding and to reject any or all bids. Each Bidder must include a security with his bid. Bid security shall be furnished in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. No bidder may withdraw his bid within 60 calendar days after the actual date of the opening thereof. Disadvantaged business enterprise (DBE) participation is strongly encouraged. Bidders must be licensed contractors qualified for business in the State of Arkansas before submitting a bid on this work
