Sealed bids for the Polk County Justice Center Reroof & Boiler Replacement. Bids received shall be for separate Roofing Construction and Mechanical Construction Contracts- or a combination of both for reroofing the entire Justice Center, and demolition of one boiler and installation of two new highefficiency boilers. Each Contract is responsible for all subcontracts and is required to list on the bid form the major subcontractors as called out. Bids shall be labeled "Polk County Justice Center" with the bidder's name and address marked clearly on the envelope. Drawings and specifications prepared by ICON Architectural Group, and their consultants may be seen and examined at the Architect's office. All bidders (Prime Contractors and Sub-Contractors) must submit with their bid the "Responsible Contractor Certificate" as provided in the Bid Documents verifying compliance to Minnesota Statute 16C.285, Subd. 3. No oral, telegraphic, e-mailed or faxed bids or modified bids will be considered. No bidder may withdraw their bid within thirty (30) days of the scheduled closing time for the receipt of bids. Polk County reserves the right to reject any and all bids or part of bids and waive formalities in the bidding. THE WORK: The work consists of the following within the Polk County Justice Center: A. Removing the existing ballasted EPDM roof and replacing with a 60 mil. ballasted roof on the entire Polk County Justice Center. Base bid is for removal and replacement of the north portion of the building, Alternate 1 is for removal and replacement of the south portion of the building, and Alternate 2 is for removal and replacement of the east portion of the building.
