Renovation of a municipal facility in Lahaina, Hawaii. Working plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.
**As of May 17, 2023, no bids received.** The proposal guaranty shall be equal to at least five percent (5%) of the total amount of the bid submitted. Any questions pertaining to the technical aspects of this solicitation shall be directed to Tully Kramer, Dept. of Environmental Management, Wastewater Reclamation Division. Telephone: (808) 463-3816 or jared.masuda@co.maui.hi.us. Questions must be received at least ten (10) calendar days prior to the bid opening date. Any acceptable modifications or clarifications shall be made by issuance of an addendum, and shall be given by written notice to all parties NEW WORK: Contractor shall coordinate work with the facility manager and comply with requests to adjust parking and access points to allow uninterrupted plant operations. Contractor will supply their own method of safely accessing the roof and will cone off or barricade areas at ground level that plant workers need to stay clear of. Contractor will need to remove old materials as needed and use sealing agents to repair all existing leaks. Contractor will seal the roof with EPDM or PVC or TPO roofing membrane material. Keep in mind that this building is near the ocean and also exposed to year-round direct sunlight. Material used needs to hold up to this environment for the entire warranty period. GENERAL NOTES: Contractor shall provide fencing as necessary to protect areas during construction. Contractor shall keep the project area and surrounding areas free from dust, nuisance, construction wastes and debris during construction in accordance with applicable local, State and Federal regulations. Contractor will protect storm drains and ensure that no impact to storm water occurs during construction. Contractor shall be responsible for maintenance and protection of existing utilities from any damage. Contractor shall provide vehicle access to and from public streets at all times. Contractor shall relocate, remove and/or replace all existing utilities, fences, paved areas and irrigation systems disturbed due to work related to this project. Contractor shall restore all existing property that is damaged as a result of the construction. Contractor shall comply with all applicable environmental federal, state, and local regulatory requirements and conditions of this project's approved permits in performing construction activities. Contractor shall comply and implement Federal, State, and local regulatory requirements pertaining to legal disposal of all construction and demolition materials. WARRANTY: Manufactures standard warranty to be listed. Contractor shall warranty all installation work for a minimum of 10 years from County acceptance of completion.
