Deadline for questions is May 26, 2023 at 4:00 PM Alaska time This project includes, but is not necessarily limited to: Furnish all required parts and fittings needed, beyond City supplied materials list, including providing all machinery, equipment, materials, tools, labor, vehicles, transportation, supervision, facilities, necessary housing, and work required for: Base Bid Overview: o Installation of new HDPE (High Density Polyethylene) sewer force main from Sewer Lift Station No. 1 to the Wastewater Treatment Facility including fittings, air valve assemblies, and the replacement of existing ACP (Asbestos Cement Pipe) at specified locations o Directional drill HDPE sewer force main under the Duck Flats Wetlands area and under several existing stream channels including installation and removal of temporary drill pads o Installation of HDPE sewer force main from Sewer Lift Station No. 3 to the Wastewater Treatment Facility o Installation of HDPE sewer force main from Sewer Lift Station No. 4 to the Wastewater Treatment Facility o Installation of a temporary bypass system at existing Sewer Lift Station No. 3 o Complete tie-ins of new sewer force main piping to existing piping o Installation of new sewer manholes and HDPE gravity sewer piping reroute from the existing sewer collection system to the new Sewer Lift Station No. 1 including abandonment and/ or demolition of existing sewer manholes, existing screening and gravity sewer main o Installation of a new metal building for Sewer Lift Station No. 1 including site grading and fencing, new screen and wet well, new sewer lift pumps, valve and meter stations, site piping and fittings, davit crane, gantry crane, building HVAC, electrical service, power, lighting and controls, generator and ATS, new potable water service and backflow preventer and replacement of an existing fire hydrant o Demo and proper disposal of existing Sewer Lift Station No. 1 building, salvage pumping equipment and offer first right of refusal to City of Valdez o Provide hazardous materials abatement of all demolition areas including buildings, plumbing/piping and concrete structures o Removal of a building structure including new manhole and slide gates and demo of existing building and manhole o Installation of bypass piping of existing force mains from Sewer Lift Stations 1, 3, and 4; o Installation of a new concrete vault terminus for collection of all sewer force mains including extending existing sewer force main from Sewer Lift Station No. 1 o Installation of new HDPE piping from new concrete vault terminus through new Headworks screen to new manhole o Installation of a new metal Headworks building at the Wastewater Treatment Facility including site grading, fencing, access road expansion, new screen, site piping and fittings, building HVAC, electrical service, power, lighting and controls, connection for mobile generator and manual ATS, new potable water service and backflow preventer, abandonment of existing water service, new septage receiving station, new sampling station, new building sewer service o Install new asphalt parking area adjacent to new Sewer Lift Station No. 1 o Expand existing AC access road and parking at existing Wastewater Treatment Facility o Asphalt sawcut and patch, removal and replacement, traffic control and dewatering.
