Demolition and site work for a residential development in Bracebridge, Ontario. Conceptual plans call for the demolition of a residential development; and for site work for a residential development.
The house at 36 Ann Street is a two-bedroom brick bungalow with a detached single-car garage and an unfinished basement. On December 22, 2021, Council awarded a tender to a general contractor for the construction of the Muskoka Lumber Community Centre, which includes the demolition of the Bracebridge Memorial Arena. As part of the decommissioning (demolition) of the Arena, Council directed staff to include the demolition of 36 Ann Street; however, prior to confirming the demolition of 36 Ann Street, the Town is exploring the feasibility of offering the structures only at 36 Ann Street through an RFP process for possible relocation (or for salvage of materials) to support housing. In the event that no such proposals are received to relocate, proposals for salvage will also be considered. The house must be removed on or before August 31, 2024; however, proposals to relocate (salvage) the house in 2023 will be preferred.
