Single stipulated sum bids will be received for all work required by the contract documents in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. Sealed bids must be delivered in a sealed envelope marked plainly on the outside of the envelope with the following: Madison County Board of Supervisors Madison County Fuel System Upgrade Sheriff Department 125 West North Street, Canton, Mississippi 39046. In, addition, the envelope shall list the bidders Company Name, Company Address and the Certificate of Responsibility. Envelopes not so marked will not be opened. Contract Documents consisting of Plans and Specifications Entitled: Madison County Board of Supervisors Madison County Fuel System Upgrade Sheriff Department Canton, Mississippi All plan holders are required to have a valid email address for registration. Bids shall be submitted only upon the blank bid forms provided with the Specifications and must be accompanied by Bid Security in the form of Certified Check or acceptable Bid Bond in the amount equal to at least five percent (5%) of the Base Bid; such security to be forfeited as liquidated damages, not penalty, by any bidder who fails to carry out the terms of the bid, execute a contract and post-Performance and Payment Bonds in the form and amount within the time specified. The Bid Bond, if used, shall be payable to the Owner. Bids must be received on or before the scheduled time for opening of bids. All bids submitted in excess of $50,000 by a Prime or Subcontractor to do any erection, building, construction, repair, maintenance, or related work must be in compliance with and subject to Sections 31-3-15 and 31-3-21 of the Mississippi Code of 1972 as annotated and amended, and in all case law pertaining thereto. The Owner reserves the right to waive any irregularities, Madison County Board of Supervisors have the right to reject any and all bids.
