Renovation of a military facility in Toronto, Ontario. Completed plans call for the renovation of a military facility.

SOW for Washrooms Restoration on 3rd Floor at the U.S. Consulate General Toronto Demolition: 1. Remove and dispose of hallway door. 2. Remove and dispose of vestibule door. 3. Remove and dispose of 2 toilets. 4. Remove and dispose of partitions around toilets. 5. Remove and dispose of urinal. 6. Remove and dispose of sink. 7. Remove and dispose of terrazzo floor and wall tiles. 8. Remove and retain the radiator cover, and ventilation grille for re-use after the restoration. 3RD FLOOR HALLWAY WILL BE BOARDED OFF FROM THE BATHROOM AREAS BEING WORKED ON USING PLYWOOD. ACCESS TO THE CONSTRUCTION ZONE WILL BE THROUGH A LOCKABLE DOOR BUILT INTO THE END OF THE BOARDING. WORK AREA WILL BE COMPLETELY SEALED AS TO RETAIN ALL DUST AND DEBRIS. Construction: 1. Replace the hallway door. 2. Install new wooden 36"Replace the hallway door with a wooden door along with automatic door operator and 2 operating paddles, handicap/brail signage, frosted site glass, 5 1/4"w x 65"h and stainless-steel push plate on the outside, stainless steel plate and pull handle on the inside, 13" long s/s on the inside. No door latch hole needed. 3. The vestibule door opening to be capped off with brushed stainless-steel caps. Vestibule opening must be 36" wide finished opening. Opening to be consistent aligned top to bottom. Caps must cover wall tile and be flush with unaltered plaster wall in the vestibule. along with door operator and 2 operating paddles, handicap/brail signage, frosted site glass 5 1/4"w x 65"h and stainless-steel push plate on the outside, stainless steel plate and pull handle on the inside, 13" long s/s on the inside. 4. Install new vestibule light. 5. Cap off plumbing and remove terrazzo floor and Rreplace with floor tile throughout the entire bathroom. Transition from hallway to bathroom shall be flush. 6. Replace wall tiles throughout the entire bathroom area from floor level up to the height of the existing tiles. All exposed tile edges are to be finished off with aluminum metal tile trim. 7. Replace the toilet partitions with a 34" door opening. Partitions to include privacy strips to cover over both seams between the partitions and the door. Door resting position should be in the closed position. Door handle to show occupied/non occupied from the outside. 8. Replace the toilet with ABA compliant toilet and replace existing flush unit with new similar type. Reinstall trap seal primer. 9. Replace 1 new uurinal with assoc. plumbing and replace the flush unit with similar to existing. 10. Replace the grab bars with grab bars behind and beside 1 toilet. 11. Replace the toilet paper dispenser. Dispenser must hold 2 rolls of all brands of 9" paper rolls. 12. Replace the vanity countertop. Countertop to contain hole/s appropriate for the installation of the faucet agreed upon. 13. Replace the sink with automatic faucet, mixing valve and proper pipe insulation under counter. 14. Replace the mirror with 24"w x 36"h tilted mirror. 15. Replace the paper towel dispenser. 8" Hands Free Dispenser, 16" x 13" x 10", Manual, No Batteries Required, Pull towel off, next one appears. No levers or push buttons. 16. Replace the ceiling with T-Bar ceiling grid and tiles in washroom and vestibule areas. 17. Replace the soap dispenser with manual soap dispenser. Dispenser needs to be able to accommodate Scott 1 liter soap cartridges. 18. Replace the lights with 2 new LED flat panel light fixtures with ceiling mounted dual sensor motion sensor. Relocate light switch from bathroom side of wall to vestibule side of wall, to be mounted flush with corresponding wall surface. 19. Wall mount 1 baby change table. 20. Replace baseboards around the vestibule area with 6" baseboard with bathroom's floor tile material. 21. Repair wall wherever needed due to plumbing removal and damage that may occur during demolition and construction. 22. Retain floor drain. 23. Replace water shut off valve inside the washroom wall area (if not existing) for hot & cold water. 24. Retain proper ventilation of the washroom. Installations to also include repairs as below: Any holes created during the renovation of the washroom areas such as where plumbing will be removed and capped, will be repaired. Replacement items to be of greater than, or comparable value to the following items: DOOR OPERATOR - Electromechanical operator, hardwired, complies with North American and European standards and requirements for low-energy power operated doors. Silent and smart applications with high intelligent functions. Safe, reliable and quiet operation or public service environments door opens automatically when manually pushed from the closed position, and "Power Assist", providing motorized assistance when the door is pulled opened by hand. The COR can refuse any or all of the submitted proposals for accessories as they see fit to comply with the Scope of work as above. Attachment: ABA Standards (https://www.access-board.gov/aba/#aba-603) shall be referenced in conjunction with the layout and placement of the above items needed to complete the layout, and installation of partitions and fixtures within the restrooms according to ABA Standards. No electronic proposals will be accepted after this time. It is important to make sure the submission is made in specific size and format; in MS-Word 2007/2010 or MS-Excel 2007/2010 or Adobe Acrobat (pdf) file format. The file size must not exceed 30MB. If the file size should exceed the 30MB, the submission must be made in separate files and attached to separate emails with less than 30MB each. Complete the OFFER portion of the Standard Form 1442, including all blank spaces, and have the form signed by an authorized representative of your company, or the proposal may be considered unacceptable and may be rejected. For a proposal to be considered, you must also complete all relevant sections of RFQ requiring Offeror's input and submit all sections of the RFQ. The Purchase Order will be a firm fixed price contract, with no adjustment for any escalation in costs or prices of labor or materials. Each offeror will be responsible for determining the amount of labor and materials that will be required to complete the project, and for pricing its proposal accordingly. The project completion time is 120 calendar days from the date included in the Notice to Proceed. In the event of an unauthorized or unexcused delay in completing the project, liquidated damages in the amount of CAD$1,000.00 per calendar day will be assessed until substantial completion of the project is achieved. The Contracting Officer reserves the right to reject any and all proposals and to waive any informality in proposals received. In addition, the Consulate reserves the right to establish a competitive range of one or more offerors and to conduct further negotiations concerning price and other terms before awarding the contract, or to award without discussions. In order for a quotation to be considered, you must also complete and submit the following: 1. SF-1442 2. Section I, Pricing 4. Additional information as required in Section 3 6.
