Site work and new construction of a bridge / tunnel in Sharon, Kansas. Completed plans call for the construction of a bridge / tunnel; and for site work for a bridge / tunnel.
The project shall replace the existing steel beam bridge with a new 45' single span precast concrete beam bridge with 28'-0" roadway and founded on a driven steel pile foundation. The project roadway profile and alignment are anticipated to be similar to the existing conditions. Barber County shall provide all of the funds required for this project. Bids will be presented to the Barber County Commissioners at their meeting in the Barber County Courthouse Commission room at 11:00 a.m. local time, Tuesday, May 30th, 2023 Site Directions: The project consists of Barber County Off-System Bridge 114 (NBI #000040695206740) located 2.3 miles north and 3.0 miles west of Sharon on Blackmore Road over Little Sandy Creek.
