**As of June 6, 2023, project is cancelled. It has been cancelled for good.** Request for Bid to provide all necessary equipment, parts, materials, and labor to remove the existing chain link fence and replace it with approximately 515 linear feet of 6 foot tall, prefabricated concrete fencing with 2 additional feet of barbed wire on top. Bid should include delivery and installation of all prefabricated fencing material, removal, haul away, and disposal of all old chain link fencing and footings. The city will conduct a property survey in advance to pinpoint the exact property line. Remove existing fencing materials and footings (property must remain secure at the end of each workday) - Dispose of all chain link fencing material - Install prefabricated concrete fencing at a height of 6 feet and a length of approximately 515 linear feet (contractor to confirm measurements). All luminaire poles to be inside the fence line. The city will provide property survey markings. - Glass Fiber Reinforced Concrete with or without Expanded Polystyrene Foam Core Fencing Panels: * Panel Color: Natural Grey * Cement ASTM C150, Type II * Glass Fiber: Alkali resistance glass fiber (min. 3.75% by volume) * Expanded Polystyrene foam core or solid core * Min. 5/16" thick reinforced concrete skin that completely encapsulates foam core * Each fence panel to be approximately 4 inches minimum thickness, 72 inches high. - Columns (min. 8' center spacing) * Solid precast with minimum compressive strength of 3000 psi * 4-6% air entrainments * Dimension of column based on soil bearing strength (800 psi minimum). - Column Caps for a complete system. * Cap to have tie for mechanical attachment to column. - Install support brackets and 3 strands of barbed wire along top of fence at a height of two additional feet - Apply anti-graffiti protective coating - All installers must be certified by the manufacturer of the fencing panel o Equal or similar products will be considered. This project includes providing all necessary equipment, parts, materials, and labor to remove the existing chain link fence and replace it with approximately 515 linear feet of 6 foot tall, prefabricated concrete fencing with 2 additional feet of barbed wire on top. Bid should include delivery and installation of all prefabricated fencing material, removal, haul away, and disposal of all old chain link fencing and footings. All bids shall be submitted on the prescribed Bid Forms and in the manner as stated in this invitation and in the Bid Document. Bids must be submitted in a sealed envelope with the outside clearly marked "sealed bid" with the bid opening date and time, and the project name as it appears in this invitation along with the name and address of the bidder. Bids shall be addressed to the City Clerk, City of Fife - 5411 23rd Street, Fife, WA 98424. Bid proposals will be received only at City Hall. Proposals received after 12:00 p.m., on Tuesday, April 11, 2023, will not be considered.
