Site work for a communication facility in Hintzville, Washington. Completed plans call for site work for a communication facility.
As of July 21, 2023, project was awarded to Tercom Construction, Inc. but awarded amount is not available. Bids are being asked for provision of all necessary labor, equipment and materials required for the installation of the fiber cables from the intersection on Gold Creek RD W and W Camp Sundown RD, Seabeck to the Hintzville community using underground construction methods (Trench, Directional Bore) for ground conditions with cover per Kitsap County Standards. Placement of 2" conduit along the ROW following the utility easement and placing 3/4 " minimum duct w/ 12" cover to homes included in the project. Contractor will coordinate with participating Homeowners for the proper location and installation of the conduit/duct and Demarc placements all as indicated in the drawings Point of contact for questions is Jim LeCompte, at telecombid@kpud.org; (360)-689-3132. Splicing of fiber is not part of the scope of work being bid for this project. KPUD has pre-purchased and will provide the fiber, vaults, and storage racks to the Contractor. The Contractor is responsible for including all other materials necessary for construction of the project in their bid including but not limited to: strand, suspension clamps, 2" conduit (rolled and duct), anchors, preforms, lashing wire, lashing clamps, straps and spacers, conduit bends, etc. Kitsap PUD has obtained the PSE Attachment Permit. All other permits if any are the Contractors responsibility. All work performed on this project is subject to state prevailing wage rates. The Kitsap PUD is an Equal Opportunity and Affirmative Action Employer. This project is partially funded through the Washington State Community Economic Revitalization Board with federal funds from the U.S. Treasury ARPA Capital Project Funds. Contractor must be licensed, bonded, and insured in Washington State. Contractors are encouraged to commit to local hires for this project. Small, Minority- and Women-owned firms are encouraged to submit bids. The Contract will be awarded to the qualified bidder submitting the lowest responsible bid. Kitsap PUD reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive all informalities in the bidding in accordance with the specifications. Each Bid Proposal shall conform to the requirements of Section 1-02.9 of the Contract Special Provisions. Bids shall be made out on the bid form furnished with the specifications. When submitting a bid, only include the bid form, the bid guarantee, NonCollusion certificate, Statement of Bidders Qualifications, and the., Certification of Compliance with Wage Payment Statutes, and Subcontractor Lists *The list of planholders and/or interested bidders is not being tracked by the stakeholders involved with this project.
