The City of Morristown is accepting sealed bids for the restoration, polishing, and refinishing of flooring located within the Morristown City Center. The City of Morristown is a tax-exempt entity. The successful vendor will be provided with an executed copy of tax-exempt form. The awarded vendor shall provide all labor, materials, equipment, and supervision necessary for the refinishing, polishing, and restoration of the marble tile inside City Center. The scope of work includes polishing all marble tile on the main floor of City Center, wall to wall, two staircases and the associated landings. Total square footage is approximately 3800 The deadline to submit questions in writing is 5:00 PM Eastern Time on Monday, April 24th, 2023. Questions to be submitted via email to purchasing@mymorristown.com. Answers will be published by 5:00 PM on Tuesday, April 25th, 2023. The services proposed shall consist of the following: 1. The awarded vendor shall provide all labor, materials, equipment, and supervision necessary for the refinishing, polishing, and restoration of the marble tile inside City Center. 2. The scope of work includes polishing all marble tile on the main floor of City Center, wall to wall, two staircases and the associated landings. Total square footage is approximately 3800. 3. All tile should be fully restored to gloss and seal. 4. Marble shall be stripped and sanded of wax to remove buildup and buffed to a high gloss. 5. The awarded vendor shall conduct all work so as to interfere as little as possible with City business and must assure minimal disturbance in access to the City Center building. Scheduling will be discussed at the pre-bid meeting. 6. The awarded vendor shall ensure that there is proper ventilation and work to minimize fumes during application of products to flooring. 7. All debris created during the restoration process must be properly disposed of by the awarded vendor. 8. All scheduling is to be coordinated with the Building and Grounds Supervisor in advance of work being completed and no work shall be completed without first receiving permission. 9. The awarded vendor will supervise, coordinate, manage, and inspect the floor restoration to ensure that each task is done properly and in accordance with bid standards. 10. Invoicing shall be detailed with a breakdown of pricing for work done before payment will be received.
