Lewis County Public Works in conjunction with the City of Centralia is seeking proposals from qualified engineering and architectural firms to: \b Update the County's 2008 West Connector Type, Size, and Location (TS&L) Study including preliminary design of the West Connector's Chehalis River Bridge crossing taking into consideration potential levee elements along the north side of the Chehalis River; \b Evaluate the West Connector corridor's south link alignment on S. Scheuber Road between State Route (SR) 6 and Cooks Hill Road, including development of an engineer's estimate of probable construction cost and develop Right-of-Way Plan(s) for acquisition of right-of-way for the West Connector north link on N. Scheuber Road between the Chehalis River and Mt. Vista Road and Galvin Road to the Harrison Avenue / Ives Road intersection; \b Assist with the preparation and submittal of grant applications (potentially BRIC, RAISE, MEGA, INFRA, or other available grant applications) for procurement of funds for use in final design, PS&E, Geotechnical Investigations, Permitting, and construction of the West Connector Corridor between SR 6 and Mt. Vista Road in the City of Centralia; And \b Design, PS&E Development, Geotechnical and Radar Penetration Investigation, Utility Coordination, and Environmental Permitting for construction of West Connector corridor north link on N. Scheuber Road between Mt. Vista Road and Galvin Road. These phase I improvements are funded with American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funds and required to comply with State and Federal grant requirements, WSDOT, AASHTO, Lewis County, and City of Centralia requirements and regulations. Transportation issued pursuant to such Act, herby notifies all bidders that it will affirmatively ensure that any contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement, disadvantaged enterprises as defined at 49 CFR Part 26 will be afforded full opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, national origin, of sex in consideration for an award.
