Your firm is hereby invited to submit a written statement of qualifications to provide professional services for a planning study for the Expansion of Quarry Reservoir Water Supply. The primary objectives of the project are to: a) Identify the permitting requirements to expand our existing Quarry Reservoir such that we can begin filling and using the expanded Quarry Reservoir when the existing quarrying operation ceases on December 31, 2030. b) Evaluate options to connect our existing Quarry Reservoir to the area currently being mined to meet our future water demands and recommend an alternative. c) Identify potential treatability issues with the water in the expanded Quarry Reservoir and develop a plan to evaluate and address those issues. d) Develop a detailed schedule of activities that must occur for OWASA to begin filling the expanded Quarry Reservoir when Martin Marietta ceases mining by December 31, 2030. e) Identify any necessary capital improvements program (CIP) projects and budget needed to have Quarry Reservoir ready to fill by January 1, 2031. f) Provide draft schedule and multi-year CIP budget by February 2024 to inform FY 2025 budget process. The method of Contractor Selection has not been Determined at this time.
