Site work for a road / highway in Smithland, Texas. Working plans call for site work for a road / highway.

As of 5/22/2023, this project has been canceled and may be rebid at a later date. All questions about the meaning or intent of the Contract Documents are to be directed to the Engineer. Interpretations or clarifications considered necessary by the Engineer in response to such questions will be resolved by the issuance of Addenda mailed or delivered to all parties recorded by the Engineer or Owner as having received the Contract Documents. Questions must be received three (3) days prior to the date of opening Bids no exceptions. Only questions that have been resolved by formal written Addenda will be binding. Oral and other interpretations or clarifications will be without legal effect GENERAL CONSIDERATIONS The Contractor will perform the following task as following noted and in accordance with the details provided in this project contract or as directed by the Engineer on: 555 Main Street Grading and Site Work Project: This contract shall include all necessary labor, equipment, tools, materials, safety measures, environmental protection, disposal of surplus items, site restoration, and all other related construction. SUMMARY OF WORK: The intent of this project is for the premises of 555 Main Street to be graded and leveled after the structures and paving have been demolished by others. The entire site shall be fine graded flush with the existing perimeter dirt grade on the rest of the property and to grade to finish elevation as shown on the grading plan. This work shall include: 1. Mobilization. 2. Install/Remove stabilized construction entrance/exist. 3 Remove/Replace sections of concrete curb and gutter called out in the plans. Remove/Replace sections of concrete sidewalk. 3. Place, compact and grade approximately 29,230 cubic yards of select fill. o The Contractor is responsible for all dimensions and surface grading as noted in the details and specifications of this contract. 4. Installation of Hydro Mulch Seeding and St. Augustine Sod as called out in the plans. SITE ACCESS DURING CONSTRUCTION: The contractor shall confine his use of the site to the portion indicated on the plan except as required by the Contract Documents to do work outside of that area. The contractor shall be responsible for maintaining all driving areas, access roads, and parking areas affected by his operation during construction. The contractor shall ensure that these areas remain accessible and passable by the Owner's personnel and their condition shall not impede the existing site operations regardless of the size and type of vehicle needing access. There shall be no additional compensation for maintaining access.
