Construction of the ENOS RANCH, Phase I consists of grading, landscaping, electrical improvements, hardscape, restroom and playground installation and all work required to fulfill the intent of the Plans and Specifications for the project and necessary to render the facility complete and operational. Requests for information or clarification must be submitted IN WRITING and received in the Department of Public Works no later than 5:00 p.m. on Friday, 5/5/2023. Requests may be submitted via e-mail to: tkorman@cityofsantamaria.org. The Design Engineer has calculated an estimate of probable construction costs for this project. The City does not wish to publicize the engineer's estimate of the project cost since this information may tend to influence the number and nature of bids received. However, for the bidder's convenience, the City will publicize that the engineer's estimate for the base bid falls within a range of $500,000 and $600,000. *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document. Bid security, in an amount not less than 10 percent (10%) of the total bid dollar amount, is required to be submitted with each bid. The bid security shall be in the form of a bidder's bond or a certified or cashier's check drawn upon a responsible bank made payable to the City of Santa Maria, and conditioned to be forfeited to said City in the event that the bidder, if the bid is accepted, does not enter into a written contract within ten (10) days after the awarding of the contract. The bidder to whom award is made will be required to furnish a payment bond and a faithful performance bond.
