Renovation of a library in Bethany Beach, Delaware. Completed plans call for the renovation of a library.
The project generally consists of all labor, materials, equipment and services required for disconnecting and removing a existing gas fired, packaged rooftop unit (RTU) at South Coastal Library, which primarily serves the Children s Collection and Program Room and installing a new gas fired, packaged rooftop unit. The project also includes the installation of an economizer hood on another existing Carrier rooftop unit at the same location. Each bid must be accompanied by a bid guarantee equivalent to ten (10) percent of the amount of the base bid and all alternates. The bid guarantee may be a certified check or a bid bond secured by a surety authorized to do business in Delaware. The bid guarantee shall be made payable to Sussex County Council. All Contractor questions must be submitted in writing to Thomas Van Dyke of the Engineering Department at thomas.vandyke@sussexcountyde.gov no later than five (5) business days prior to the bid opening. Federal or State scale wage rates are NOT applicable on this Project. Sussex County reserves the right to extend the time and place of the bid opening on not less than two (2) calendar days notice by electronic means to those who have obtained copies of the Contract Documents. Sussex County reserves the right to waive irregularities and reject any or all bids.
