Renovation of a service station / car wash facility in Waco, Texas. Conceptual plans call for the renovation of a service station / car wash facility.
The City is looking to partner with a vendor for a turn-key public Electric Vehicle (EV) charging program. This is a no-cost RFP for the City to select a vendor who can successfully operate on public property but without public investment (except for federal or state grant funds). The program shall provide for the development of EV charging stations throughout the City. The project includes the design, furnishing, installation, and maintenance of EV Supply Equipment (EVSE) locations on Cityowned property. This project must result in a self-sufficient, independently operated system requiring no City capital or operating expenses. As of May 27, 2025, the project is on indefinite hold until further notice. Further details regarding construction and completion timelines have not been identified.
