Renovation of a municipal facility in Springfield, Illinois. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.
The SHA is seeking bids from qualified, licensed and bonded entities to provide the following detailed services: 1. The site contains 28 duplexes; 10 Type A (3-bedroom), 18 Type B (4-bedroom), and 10 Type C (5-bedroom). All are 2-stories, with a rear storage area that is 1-story. 2. Protect existing landscaping, windows, roofing etc. 3. Provide ladders, scaffold, lifts, hoists etc. as required to prosecute the work. Follow OSHA safety guidelines while on site. 4. Prevailing wages are required on this project. See attached Wage Decision for the wages for the duration of the project. Prevailing rates are required for all work on site. 5. Project is tax exempt. Do not include sales taxes. 6. Owner will occupy the project areas for the entire duration of the project. Coordinate with Owner for locations of parking and dumpsters. Do not block tenants' access to their units. 7. Restore lawns and plant areas to pre-project condition. Photograph areas that are damaged or rutted before starting work. Fill ruts with clean topsoil, seed and straw. 8. Replace cracked walks if caused by operations. Contractor will be required to repair all cracks likely to have been driven on by vehicles or equipment except where photographs of preexisting cracks are available. General Building Construction (Existing): 1. Foundation: Concrete foundation and floor 2. Exterior Walls: 2-Story 2x4 wood frame construction with brick and siding and 1/2" drywall. Height to work approximately 18'-0". 3. Approximate Dimensions: Type A buildings are 40' x 29'; Type B buildings are 48'-6" x 29'- 0"; Type C buildings are 54'-0" x 29'-0". 4. Roof Assembly: Assumed wood framing with 1/2" OSB, Asphalt Shingles, Batt insulation 5. Soffits/Fascia: Fascia are aluminum over wood fascia, approximately 8"; Soffits are suspended vented aluminum soffit, approximately 2'-4" wide. A & B buildings 2 sides flat, 2 sides along the rake; C building 4 sides flat. 6. Front porch roofs are flat with Nudo board ceilings and no gutter. Rear porch roofs are sloped with Nudo board ceilings and with gutters. 7. Reference photographs.
