The Juniper Riviera County Water District (JRCWD) is seeking bids for it's Pressure Reducing Valve Station Improvement Project. Post Bid Review: Initial bids submitted will be evaluated by JRCWD. At this point, bidders will be invited to enter into negotiations on pricing and technical details, after which bidders will be asked to submit their best and final offer before the contract is awarded no later than Friday May 5, 2023. Project Description: Estimates must include the cost to perform mock shut-down which will include locating, exposing and making accessible and exercising all necessary valves along Milpas Road and required proximity in preparation for actual shut-down as required to perform the following; Remove and replace (5) Pressure Reducing Valve Stations. Location of each PRV Station will be provided at the job walk; each PRV Station includes replacement of (1) 3" Cla-Val Pressure Reducing Valve and (3) 3" Gate Valves and all necessary piping, and fittings within vault housing for a complete new PRV station. Alternate Bid Item(s): Remove and Replace (1) Vault at PRV Station #7 and Relocate (1) Vault at PRV #2. Prevailing Wage Requirement: The work contemplated by this project is funded by State of California, Department of Water Resources grant monies and as such is a public works project subject to payment of prevailing wages under the California Labor Code Section 1770 et. Seq. The successful bidder (and any subcontractors) will be required to pay not less than the prevailing rate wage as determined by the California Department of Industrial Relations (DIR) in effect on the date the work is performed.
