As of June 19, 2023, project was awarded to Gleeson Asphalt, Inc., for the Base Bid in the amount of $142,697.35. . Sealed bids should be labeled "2022 HMA ROADWAY IMPROVEMENTS, MCCD PROJECT NO. 4623-22-1-21-02 " on the outside of the envelope. Bids that are forwarded by mail shall be addressed to the City of Granite City, 2000 Edison Avenue, Granite City Illinois 62040. The proposed work consists of milling, concrete pavement patching, hot-mix asphalt (HMA) surface course, ADA compliant sidewalk ramps, and other appurtenant items necessary to complete the work as shown on the plans. The successful bidder will be required to execute and present a performance and payment bond in a sum equal to the full amount of the contract. Bids must be for the contract as a whole. No bidder may withdraw his bid within ninety (90) days after the scheduled time of closing bids. All bids must be made on forms furnished by the City of Granite City. All applicable laws, ordinances, and rules and regulations of all authorities having jurisdiction over construction of the project shall apply to the contract. This project is subject to availability of project funds and compliance with requirements of Madison County Community Development. The City of Granite City reserves the right to waive, or not to waive, any irregularities in the bids; to reject any or all bids; and to determine which bid is the lowest and best for the improvements.
